Chabad House:

The Chabad House is located at 1920 Colley Avenue in the Ghent section of Norfolk. Please note that we are 20 miles from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and 45 miles from Williamsburg, VA.

Minyan Times at Chabad House:

Friday night: We begin 10 minutes after candle lighting time. Please call for an exact time if needed - 757-616-0770

Shabbos Day: Minyan begins at 10:00 AM. There is a supervised playroom as well as a children's program including davening, stories, snack and games.

Mincha and Maariv times will be announced during morning Minyan.

(Please note that there is an Eruv in parts of the Ghent section of Norfolk. It is supervised by Rabbi Sender Haber of the Bnai Israel Congregation.)

 

Kosher Food:

Mr Shawarma is NO LONGER KOSHER 

Harris Teeter ~ 1320 Colonial Ave in Norfolk (757) 533 9284

Harris Teeter is a regular supermarket with a decent size Kosher section. Deli meats, packaged salads, Chalav Yisrael cheese and frozen goods. Snacks, instant soups and general Kosher items can also be found.

The local BJ's stores and Costco also carry a small selection of Kosher meat products.

Shabbat Lunch - A full Kiddush lunch is served after Davening each Shabbos. If you will be in Shul, we would love to meet you over lunch. Please give us a head's up that you will be coming by clicking here.

 

Mikvah: There is a Kosher Mikvah in Norfolk located behind Bnai Israel Congregation - 420 Spotswood Ave in Norfolk. (The Mikvah is actually on Washington Park which is behind the synagogue building.)

Accommodations:

The Residence Inn (Downtown Norfolk) is a 1.4 mile walk from the Chabad House.

The Wyndham Garden (Downtown Norfolk) is a 1.5 mile walk from the Chabad House.
